NRA endorses Lamar Alexander for U.S. Senate

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Lamar Alexander for U.S. Senate in Tennessee.

“Lamar is an ally in the fight to preserve our Second Amendment freedoms. “He will strongly oppose any attempt by President Obama and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to dismantle our Right to Keep and Bear Arms,” said said Chris W. Cox, NRA-PVF Chairman.

The NRA-PVF saids Alexander has been a leader in the fight against President Obama's attempt to ban legally owned ivory. Alexander also voted for concealed carry reciprocity, which would allow law-abiding Americans to carry a concealed firearm in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.

“On behalf of the NRA's five million members, I want to thank Lamar for his support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Tennessee to vote Lamar Alexander for U.S. Senate on November 4,” msaid Cox.
