The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department inspected 18 restaurants this week.

According to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon, his team is busy inspecting Hamilton County school cafeterias time of year.

We have a low score to pass along to you, and it's not good news at all for one restaurant right downtown near all the tourist attractions.

Remember, a failing grade is anything lower than a 70 and Genghis Grill on Market Street has ten days to correct some serious violations.

Inspectors found chicken & dumplings and fish out of proper temperature range and dirty water in the dishwashing sink. They also found no hot water at the bathroom sinks, raw meat was being stored on top of ready to eat vegetables and the floors were filthy. Genghis Grill serves up a 64.

The high score of the week the Starbucks on Highway 153. Enjoy your cup of joe as those employees celebrate with a 99 .

Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, daycare or a place you work out, feel free to email me. I send your complaints directly to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon and he assigns your concerns to one of his employees usually that same day. Just a reminder that we only report on Hamilton County businesses.
