CHATTANOOGA,TN (WRCB)--Everything you ever wanted to know about quilts awaits you at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Cente, Quilt Week kicked off Wednesday morning with a little bit of music and a whole lot of quilters.
"This year he didn't get to go to Paducah with me, so we came down to this one," says Evansville, Indiana's Carol Bailey with husband in tow.
The Baileys came to see all the quilts on display for future inspiration while buying from the supporting merchants.
"Ninety-percent of our business comes from the trade shows," says Vince Nutt of Martelli Enterprises, who adds quilting isn't just for the ladies anymore.
"That is true, we have a lot of men who do the quilting. It's a large machine and you know how men love machines," quips Nutt.
"I've probably made close to 100," says Carol of her quilt making hobby. "For fun mostly, I give them away to my kids and my grandkids."
Quilt Week continues through Saturday at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
