East Ridge police arrest ATM robbery suspects

EAST RIDGE, TN (WRCB) - The East Ridge Police Department have charged two people with aggravated burglary after they robbed a woman at a drive-through ATM early Monday morning.

The victim told police that she had been robbed while making an ATM transaction at about 7a.m. Monday morning at the drive-through ATM at Regions Bank located on Ringgold Road when she was approached by two white suspects on foot. 

The victim told police the suspects wore bandanas to disguise their faces, and one threatened the victim with a knife while demanding cash. Investigators were able to use security camera images to observe the clothing of the suspects and An ERPD detective discovered security footage of the suspects using the ATM themselves earlier that same morning and used those images to gain information about the vehicle the suspects had driven. 

That suspects vehicle was discovered at Knights Inn in East Ridge, and investigators tracked the occupants and suspects to a room at Crown Inn on Ringgold Road. 

A search warrant for the room was obtained, and officers found additional evidence of the robbery. 

23-year-old Jarrod Roach, and 33-year-old Lisa Philbrook were arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery. 

They are being held on $25,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in East Ridge Court on October 7.
