Glass House Collective host ribbon tying ceremony

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Some city leaders got together in East Chattanooga for a "ribbon tying ceremony".

The Glass House Collective ditched the ribbon cutting and hosted a ribbon tying to represent the coming together of historic Glass Street and the east side of the city.

The Glass House Collective was founded to help the community bring life back to Glass Street. Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke attended and spoke to the crowd, saying the event was a good show of our city's culture.

"We have so many police officers here and firefighters because the more and more we understand and accept that the more that we can be not in the community bu part of the community the better off we are," said Mayor Andy Berke.

The event also marked the opening of an open space studio on Glass Street, and a new park. The glass house says there is still plenty of room for growth.
