Good Monday. It hasn't been a horrible summer, but I think we will all still enjoy the nice cool down that is headed our way this weekend.
The afternoon will be warm and humid with a high of 88. Low pressure to our east will keep the air unstable enough to produce a few scattered storms this afternoon. Heavy rain a possibility with any storms that develop, but they will be very hit and miss. You may get a downpour while 2 streets over it is dry as a bone.
Tuesday and Wednesday I don't expect much in the way of rain as the low to our east diminishes. With that said, another cold front will be developing to our west during that time period. Ahead of that front we will see gradual warming with a high of 89 Tuesday, and a high 91 Wednesday.
Thursday will see the front moving through. Expect widespread storms Thursday afternoon into Friday morning. The front will press through Friday morning, and cooler, dry air will slide in Friday afternoon. Look for a high Friday of only 80 degrees.
The weekend looks good. Both Saturday and Sunday will bring our highs to about 80 degrees, and the humidity should be quite a bit lower. Some models are bringing in a weak trough of low pressure Sunday evening. In lieu of that, I will put in about a 20% chance of a stray shower, but, overall, the weekend looks great.
The long range models are showing this cooler weather could last through most of next week!
