ROSSVILLE, GA (WRCB) - A Rossville woman is one of 100 winners of the Jolly Time popcorn's national Kernels of Kindness award.

The program pays tribute to those that make a difference through acts of kindness in their communities.

Leigh Wattenbarger is one of 100 winners. She was recognized for her "dedication to instill the love of music to her students."

Wattenbarger is a full time college student who volunteers her musical talents to 4th and 5th graders at her old elementary school.

“I know my great-grandfather, grandfather and father would be proud of JOLLY TIME's continued commitment to our community by supporting someone like Leigh, who saw a need in her community and took it upon herself to make a difference,” said Garry Smith, president and fourth generation member of the Smith family to lead Jolly Time.

Each winner receives $1,000.
