Mold and improperly stored meat means low score for downtown eatery

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) - Dining out this weekend, well the inspectors at the Hamilton County health department had a great week reporting no failing grades among the 35 places they visited.

There is a low score of 80 to pass along to you. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than a 70.

According to chief inspector Jack Falcon, we head downtown where you will find Sekisui. Meat was being stored improperly, mold in the ice machine, floors need a good cleaning, and some of their clean utensils were being stored in the wrong place.

Now for the high score of the week: we climb Signal Mountain where you will find 517 Subs. How about a 100? Now that's worth bragging about. Congratulations to those employees.

Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, day care, or a place your work out. That number is 423-209-8110 or feel free to email me. I will happily send your complaint directly to the health department. Most likely your complaint will be handled that day, and I'm receiving a lot of your emails.

Also we are currently only reporting on Hamilton County businesses.

Enjoy your meal.
