(WRCB) - Good Friday! We have some big changes on the way as we slide into the second week of September.
For today, we will have another day in the upper 80s. The average high is 87. I am forecasting 88 for Chattanooga. It will still be a bit humid with a few isolated storms popping up here and there during the heat of the day.
For Friday night football, the game of the week is Soddy Daisy @ Ooltewah. There is a slight chance for a passing shower to start the game, but by games end it should be partly cloudy. The temperature through the game will be in the low 80s.
Saturday will be a little warmer as the high reaches 91 ahead of a front that may bring a few more scattered showers and storms for late in the day.
Behind the front, we will dry out a bit with little chance of any rain Sunday, and a high of 88. It will be a dry start to next week, also, with mostly sunny skies Monday. The high will reach 87.
Another front will move through late next week bringing showers and storms in again on Thursday. Behind THAT front we will have our first significant cool down. The high Friday will only reach about 81. NEXT weekend we could see highs staying in the upper 70s!
