Southern Airways to serve Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Frequent fliers in Chattanooga have a new option as Southern Airways has expanded their flight service to the Scenic City.

New regional routes will serve Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Memphis.

The flight service between Chattanooga and Memphis will begin October 1; flights from Memphis to Knoxville begin Oct. 2 with prices ranging between $300-$400 for flights.

Chattanooga flights will be based from Wilson Air; Knoxville flights will be based out of TAC Air.

Also added will be routes from Atlanta to Gulf Shores, and Birmingham to New Orleans.

    Chief David Roddy took about two dozen people on a tour of the department's Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC).  RTIC was unveiled back in March. It's a place where investigators can monitor real time cameras, review video footage and store digital data.
