CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
(WRCB) - Good Wednesday afternoon. After heavy rains last night and overnight we have many areas of north Georgia under a FLOOD WATCH through Thursday morning. We had anywhere from 2" to 5" of rain last night and this morning east of Chattanooga with 4" to 5" falling around Dalton, Ga.
Expect more scattered showers and storms with the potential to produce heavy rain this afternoon with a high of 90.
That will be the case each afternoon through Friday. Highs will be near 90, and scattered storms will develop.
Saturday, another front will move through giving us even more rain and storms Saturday and Sunday.
Next week, we will drop the rain chance down to about 20%, and should dry out at least a little. It will also be a little cooler next week with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
