Good Tuesday. The heat and humidity are digging in for the rest of the week.
Look for stubborn southwest winds to bring our highs up to about 93 this afternoon. The heat index will be near 98. The tail end of a front moving by to our north will spawn a few storms this evening. Heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning will be the biggest threats.
Any storms will clear out late tonight, and the low will drop into the low 70s.
Wednesday, the high will once again soar way past the average high of 87, climbing to about 93. The front will pause to our south, and could help create a few storms on Wednesday afternoon as well.
Each day this week will see highs in the low 90s, VERY humid afternoons, and at least a chance of a shower or storm each afternoon.
Saturday, another front will bring widespread showers and storms late in the day. Following that, we will see our temps slowly drift downward into the upper 80s for next week. Download the WRCB weather app for the latest. David Karnes
