We caught up with the Grundy County High School Yellow Jackets Marching Band at their Marion County game. Rex Tate, who is in the midst of his second stint as Director of Bands calls the group, "mighty little, but mighty loud!"
The 21 members are clad in purple and gold, and while they were in casual attire the week they played for us, they will debut new uniforms at their first halftime performance at home, this week. The show is called Superman-Man of Steel, an includes those familiar tunes, as well as a little rock n' roll to lighten the mood.
The group just began conversations about a trip back to Panama City Beach. If you would like to help with fundraising for these students to make that trip happen, contact Mr. Tate in the Grundy County Band room. Thanks to the Yellow Jackets Marching Band for being our Friday Night Football Band of the Week!
