CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
The local chapter of the NAACP is preparing for its "Moral Week of Action." Friday in Chattanooga , along with coalition partners, the group said it's pushing economic, educational, social, political and criminal justice. Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher says he supports bettering the city and wants people to feel comfortable in their communities.
Fletcher says data shows crime goes hand in hand with education and he's committed to helping improve the economic prosperity people who may be at risk of living in areas with more crime. The chief says he stands with the NAACP.
