The organization seeks to use donor generosity to commemorate and honor the service of veterans.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 22, 2014

The Disabled Veterans National Foundation (http://www.dvnf.org), a nonprofit veterans service organization that provides critically needed support to disabled and at-risk veterans who leave the military woundedphysically or psychologicallyafter defending our safety and our freedom, announces the launch of the Honor Wall on its website.

The DVNF Honor Wall , launched last week, is a way for donors support DVNF and also recognize a loved one or special veteran in their life. When donors choose to give on the DVNF website, they are given the opportunity to make their gift an "in honor or in memory of" gift.

When giving in honor or memory of a special veteran family member or loved one who served, they can fill in information about that persons military service such as their rank, awards, and years of service. This information is then added to the DVNF Honor Wall.

The idea of the Honor Wall originated with DVNF's CEO, Joseph VanFonda (USMC SgtMaj Ret.), who wanted donors to feel compelled to give with added purpose.

Supporting veterans in the present by honoring a veterans past is exactly what the Honor Wall is about, VanFonda said. Donors are often drawn to DVNF simply because of our mission. But they also want to have their loved ones service recognized as well, and now they have that opportunity.

The Honor Wall is live at http://www.dvnf.org, and DVNF is encouraging anyone to pay respects to a veteran in their life in this simple, but effective way.
