One saloon's cooks have dirty hands and a sub shop with a perfect score

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department inspected 26 restaurants this week with no failing grades.

Remember that a failing grade must be under 70. I do a have a low score to pass along to you, and it's an 81 on Ashland Terrace at Jack A's Chop Shop Saloon.

Inspectors say the cooks were not washing their hands, the oven needs a good cleaning, the walls and floor in the kitchen need repairing and cleaning, and chemicals were being stored with food. Once again they score an 81.

The high score of the week can't get much better than a 100. Way to go the Subway restaurant crew on Dayton Boulevard.

Remember any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, daycare or a place you work out, feel free to email me. I send your complaints directly to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon and he assigns your concerns to one of his employees usually that same day. Just a reminder that we only report on Hamilton County businesses.

Enjoy your meal!
