A Chattanooga man thought he had been shocked while sleeping in his bed turned out to be shot - twice.
Police responded to 8022 Old Lee Highway at 6:35am Friday to reports of a person shot.
Sixty-year-old Allen Lee Edge was bleeding profusely when police arrived early Friday morning, and emergency medical personnel determined Edge had been shot twice; once in the right shoulder and in the right arm according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Edge was transported to a local hospital for examination and treatment, but denied that he had been shot.
Investigators have not been able to locate any witnesses, leads or suspects due to “lack of evidence.”
