Good Friday! We are slowly going to be turning up the heat and humidity over the next few days. Unfortunately, it looks like we won't have much rainfall to go along with it.
Speaking of rainfall, as we look back on July we only added to the rainfall deficit over the month. We had a monthly rain deficit of -2.34" for July. That increased the annual deficit to -6.93". It looks like the beginning of August will not offer much relief.
A trough of low pressure to our east will combine with temps in the mid 80s and increasing humidity this afternoon to produce a few isolated thunderstorms.
We can expect the same Saturday as the high climbs to about 87 (90 is the average high). Sunday will not be much different as the high reaches 88.
Next week we will settle into a typical August pattern. Each day we will have highs in the low 90s. The chance of rain is small each day, but one or two afternoon storms could pop up.
