(WRCB) - Good Sunday. Expect more heat and humidity today with the high reaching 93 degrees and the heat index approaching 100. While we won't see any widespread showers or storms, I expect one or two will pop up during the afternoon or evening hours.
Monday will be just as hot and muggy with the high again reaching 93. Late Monday, however, we will see a cold front approaching that will likely bring numerous showers and storms to the area Monday evening into Tuesday morning. There is a slight chance some of the storms could become severe, producing small hail and damaging winds.
Tuesday will be a transition day. We will likely see showers and storms Tuesday morning followed by isolated showers Tuesday afternoon along with a cool down behind the front. The high Tuesday will remain in the low 80s!
Cooler, drier air will keep filtering in Wednesday with the low starting the day in the low 60s and only climbing to about 84 Wednesday afternoon. Lower humidity and ample sunshine will make Wednesday almost picture perfect.
Thursday will hold it's own with mostly sunny skies and a high of 84.
Friday we will have a high of 83, but we could see a few showers or storms late Friday.
NEXT weekend, temps will be in the mid 80s, but rain is likely both Saturday and Sunday.
