The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) is pleased to announce that the second annual CDISC Asia-Pacific Interchange will be held in Tokyo, Japan on 28 July 01 August 2014. This Interchange is noteworthy in that it will be held in tandem with the annual CDISC Japan Interchange, bringing together the most diverse list of speakers and attendees in the Asia-Pacific region in CDISCs 17-year history. At the time of writing, registered attendance at the Asia-Pacific/Japan Interchange has skyrocketed, 167% higher than at the same point in registration last year.
The interest we have had in the Asia-Pacific/Japan Interchange this year is unprecedented, stated Dr. Rebecca Kush, CDISC President and CEO. This increase in attendance at all of our global Interchanges certainly reflects how the industry is beginning to accept and move more rapidly toward CDISC standards adoption. The high quality of our speakers and topics and the usability of the content presented at our conferences has also been a major factor in the increased awareness and growth.
Attendees of the 2014 CDISC Asia-Pacific/Japan Interchange will have the special opportunity to hear from the greatest variety of global regulatory representatives ever in attendance at a CDISC Interchange, with representatives from the U.S. FDA, Japan PMDA and South Korea MFDS all giving presentations and participating in an open panel discussion. Presentations will also be given regarding regulatory submission from both the Indian and Chinese perspectives.
Further distinguished speakers include the Keynote Presenter, Dr. Yoichi Nakanishi, Chair of the Japan ARO Council and Director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at Kyushu University Hospital, who will present on the role of ARO and NIH in Japan, as well as CDISC Experts from India, China, South Korea and Japan. CDISC Board Members and Executive Leadership will also be presenting and participating in panel discussions and Q&A during the conference. A full list of distinguished speakers can be viewed here.
We anticipate that this conference will be a game-changer in the Asia-Pacific region for CDISC awareness and standards implementation, emphasized Partha Chakraborty, Asia-Pacific CDISC Coordinating Committee (AP3C) Chair. With conference content covering such subjects as standards implementation essentials, updated regulatory requirements from the perspective of multiple regulatory authorities, and advancements with CDISC SHARE and CFAST, this conference will have the most robust and engaging speakers and subject matter that has ever been witnessed at a CDISC conference in the region.
Additionally, CDISC is offering the largest number of Education courses ever available at one event in the Asia-Pacific region at this Interchange. Available courses include SDTM Theory and Application, Controlled Terminology, Define-XML, CDASH Implementation and ADaM Implementation. A list of all course offerings and instructors at the 2014 CDISC Asia-Pacific/Japan Interchange can be viewed here.
