NordiaSoft, a leader in embedded software development environments, announced today that it has appointed Claude Belisle as its Chief Executive Officer

GATINEAU, Quebec, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- NordiaSoft, leader in embedded software development environments, announced today the appointment of Claude Belisle as its Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Belisle previously held the positions of Vice President Satellite Communications Research and of Strategic Program Development at the Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC), a world-renowned government laboratory. Belisle was also the Chief Technical Officer of the international Wireless Innovation Forum (WInnF) during the 2008 – 2011 period.

During his 28 year career in research and development at the CRC and Defence R&D Canada, Belisle was involved in a wide range of technologies. From Microwave-Photonics, to Software Defined Radios, and Satellite Communications, he successfully exploited new wireless technologies to address the requirements of policy makers, regulators, military, first-responders, and service providers. Bélisle also spearheaded major strategic and technological shifts across the research organization.

"Claude's solid technical background in telecommunications and his recent initiative of remodeling the R&D governance structure of CRC, led him to visit some of the world leading government R&D organizations such as DARPA, NIST, Fraunhofer, ETRI, and CDOT," said Steve Bernier, NordiaSoft's Co-Founder and CTO. "He will bring the wisdom NordiaSoft needs to foster its expansion into new markets."

"NordiaSoft is poised to grow rapidly with the ever increasing need for software-defined platforms in all markets," said Claude Belisle. "Whether in radios, test instruments, vehicles, or robots, software is now being used in all embedded systems and the need for development tools that reduce time-to-market is more important than ever. The opportunity ahead for NordiaSoft is vast and I am eager to lead this excellent team to new heights."

"Having worked with Claude for many years, I know he will bring NordiaSoft to new markets," said Juan Pablo Zamora Zapata, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development. "Claude launched the CRC research program that created the technologies now with NordiaSoft. He has a profound understanding of our business and I look forward to his joining NordiaSoft."
