Franklin OKs first tax hike in almost 30 years

FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

For the first time in almost 30 years, Franklin residents will see their property taxes increase.

The city's Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted unanimously Tuesday night to raise property taxes four cents to 41 cents.

Currently, the tax rate in Franklin is 37 cents per $100 assessed value.
