UPDATE: Fort O police locate missing adult

FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) - UPDATE: Fort Oglethorpe Police have located Shelly Jo McGuire.


An adult is missing, and the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department is asking for the public’s help.


Shelly Jo McGuire has been reported as missing from her home in Fort Oglethorpe.

In a news release, police says that McGuire doesn’t have her daily medication with her. She’s listed as in the NCIC as missing/endangered.

She as last seen at the Family Dollar Market on Rossville Boulevard on June 12.

McGuire is described as a 31 year old white female, 5”-1” tall, and an estimated weight of 114 pounds.

She has brown hair and green eyes and was last seen wearing blue shorts, a gray t-shirt, flip flops and has a tattoo on her left ankle.  

She was driving a blue 1995 Ford Ranger pickup with Georgia tag BSX1907, registered to her.
