Before gunshots rang out, 30-year-old Amelia Leaster reportedly took a 12-year-old girl to fight a 10-year-old girl in the 2100 block of Kirby Avenue on May 29.

Shortly after the fight was over between the girls, witnesses told Chattanooga police that Leaster handed a loaded gun to 19-year-old Juwan Reynolds. He began to open fire, according to an affidavit of complaint.

Joshua Fleetwood, 34, was shot and wounded in the left shin. His niece was the 10-year-old girl involved in the fight.

Leaster drove Reynolds away from the scene at a high rate of scene once Fleetwood was wounded, witnesses told police.

She faces charges of unlawful carrying or possessing of a weapon, driving on a revoked or suspended license, accessory after the fact, criminal conspiracy to commit first degree murder and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Her bond was set at $122,500.

Reynolds was previously arrested on charges of attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and unlicensed carrying of a weapon. He remains in custody.

Leaster is expected to appear before Hamilton County General Sessions Court June 24 before Judge Clarence Shattuck. Reynolds has a court date set for July 1 before Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom.
