Delegates from Wuxi, China, spoke before members of city council Tuesday night.

Chattanooga has been a sister city of Wuxi for 32 years. That's because, a number of businesses call both cities home, including Komatsu, Alstom, and Wacker.

The delegates toured the area's largest manugacturing employer, McKee Foods.  Speaking through his translator, delegate Yao touted the city's manufacturing roots.

"Chattanooga is one of the birthplaces of America's manufacturing districts, the first Coca-Cola was bottled here, Chattanooga is also one of the best cities in the state to attract international investment."

The delegates and council members exchanged gifts.  The delegates received pins with the Chattanooga seal on them.  The delegates joked they're now "officially new citizens of Chattanooga"
