The head of Volkswagen's U. S. operations is hinting that Chattanooga will not only produce the CrossBlue, but another new SUV and significant expansion at the Enterprise South plant are also in the works.

Speaking to NBC News at the San F
rancisco launch of the U. S. version of the Golf, Michael Horn said details should be announced shortly and that delays were to ensure the CrossBlue was properly tailored to the U. S. market.

Adding that VW will only succeed if they build cars people want here, the Chattanooga-made Passat is likely to be joined by the CrossBlue and a stretched version of the current Tiguan, in the near future.  The world and the Tennessee Valley still await specifics on where the new vehicles will be assembled.
