(WRCB) - After a nice dousing Thursday (some folks saw 1"-2" of rain through the day), we will have another day of scattered showers and storms Friday. A front will slowly push through, bringing morning showers for your commute and the scattered showers and thunderstorms on and off through the day. The high Friday will reach about 82.
Friday night, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts take the stage at Riverbend at 9:30. That is about when our rain will be moving on, but just like Thursday night, Friday night could still see some lingering bouts of heavy rain until 10 or 11.
For the weekend, I think we will be pretty dry Saturday with the high reaching 86. There is a slight chance for a brief shower late in the day as low pressure to our south fizzles out. For the fireworks after Riverbend Saturday night, I expect no rain.
Sunday will be dry for the first half of the day. The high Sunday will also be in the mid 80s. Late Sunday, the tail end of a front will lift into the area, activating a period of showers and storms for the late afternoon and evening hours.
Next week temps will soar into the low 90s, and the rain chance will pick back up late in the week.
