Grundy Co. man on 'Most Wanted' list arrested in Arkansas

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - A Grundy County man, recently added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s ’Top 10 Most Wanted’ list, has been caught in Arkansas.

Samuel A. McCurry was arrested Wednesday night in Fordyce, Arkansas.

Investigators believe McCurry, who lives in Gruetli Laager, TN, traveled to an acquaintance’s home in Fordyce to hide from police searching for him.

McCurry was added to the ’Top 10 Most Wanted’ Tuesday.

He was wanted by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI for four counts of aggravated sexual battery and rape of a child.

He failed to appear in court for the charges on June 4, 2014.

Thursday, the 47-year-old man was being held in Arkansas without bond, awaiting extradition to Tennessee.
