CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
Good Thursday. Overall, it should be a nice day with highs in the low 80s and partly cloudy skies. We may see a few scattered showers this afternoon and evening, but the chance is small, only 30%.
Friday, another front will move through, but it now looks like it may be falling apart as it moves through. We will reach 85 degrees and we will see increasing clouds with a few more widely scattered showers Friday afternoon.
For the weekend, even though a center of low pressure will develop to our south, it doesn't look like it will bring much if any rain Saturday. As a matter of fact, it will be partly cloudy through most of the day. Saturday night into Sunday morning we may see a shower or two as the low moves through. The heat and humidity will be slowly increasing over the weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 80s both days.
Sunday afternoon and Monday we will see highs climbing into the upper 80s with an isolated afternoon storm or two.
Tuesday and Wednesday, the heat and humidity will be in full force with highs in the low 90s. It now looks as though rather than drying out, as appeared to be the case with model runs yesterday, that a more wet pattern could be shaping up for the middle of next week. Stay tuned. David Karnes
