Knoxville player wins $259.8 million Powerball jackpot

KNOXVILLE, TN (WBIR) - According to Tennessee Lottery officials, a Knoxville customer purchased the winning Powerball ticket for Wednesday's $259.8 million jackpot drawing.

That's the largest prize in the history of the Tennessee Lottery.

If the winner chooses to take the lump-sum payment, the cash value would be $153.5 million.

There is no word yet as to who won, or where the ticket was purchased.
