WRCB-TV) -- Keep your umbrellas handy! Rain and storm chances remain in the forecast for the rest of the week.

A low pressure system slowly passes to our north over the next day and a half, pushing plenty of Gulf of Mexico moisture into the Tennessee Valley. Showers and storms are likely late this Tuesday afternoon/early evening. Some of these storms may produce very gusty winds along with heavy rain and frequent lightning. They fade overnight with lows in the upper 60s.

Periods of rain continue Wednesday with a few storms in the mix. It'll be breezy at times with highs a bit cooler than normal, around 80º (normal for Chattanooga is 87º). A few showers linger Wednesday night and Thursday with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the lower 80s.

With plenty of humidity and frontal boundaries nearby, look for spotty showers/storms again Friday and Saturday with highs in the middle to upper 80s, lows in the middle 60s. A storms also can't be ruled out for Fathers' Day on Sunday as well as Monday with highs in the upper 80s. Odds for storms a little less early next week with hotter highs in the lower 90s.
