Man accused of assaulting pregnant woman

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - A 22-year-old man faces two counts of domestic aggravated assault – including one count towards a viable fetus – after he grabbed a woman who is three months pregnant with his child and threw her down.

Larry J. Hudson, of Chattanooga, reportedly punched the pregnant 20-year-old woman in the shoulder. Hudson left the residence in the 1900 block of Sharp Street before returning. He then grabbed the woman by the throat and threw her down to the ground, according to an arrest report.

Two women watched the incident on the front porch. They screamed at him to stop. He left the scene in a blue Ford Taurus.

The pregnant woman followed him and phoned police. He was arrested in the 2000 block of East Third Street.

As of Tuesday morning, Hudson remained in the jail on a $20,000 bond. His next court date is set for June 16 before Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom.
