Scattered storms moving through today

Posted: Updated:
Good Monday.  Expect some showers and thunderstorms later this morning into the early afternoon.  They will be weakening as they move through, so I don't expect any severe weather although some heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds are possible.  That will last from late morning through early afternoon, then as those storms move out, we will have highs in the mid 80s, lots of humidity, and only a slight chance for a shower or storm for the rest of the day.

For the Bessie Smith Strut this evening, temps will be in the low to mid 80s when all the music is going on this evening with mostly cloudy skies and about a 20% chance of a stray shower or storm.

Tuesday, the chance of showers and storms is present, but low.  I will put it at 20% through the day, Tuesday with the high reaching 85.

The rain chance goes back up Tuesday night through Wednesday as a front moves through.

The average high this week is about 87 degrees.  We will be at or even slightly below that all week.
