CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -
“Play that funky music white boy” is not just a line from a song; it’s the definition of the band Earphunk.
Made up of members Mark Hempe, Paul Provosty, Christian Gale, Michael Comeaux, and Michael Matthews, this high-energy funk band is a premier jam act in the southeastern region.
Small-town boys from the Crescent City, they are steadily building a fan base across the United States. They have performed in over 140 cities over the past year. They have played venues like Wakarusa Music Festival, Bear Creek Music Festival, and The Purple Hatters Ball. They have also opened for and shared the stage with bands like Galactic, Perpetual Groove, Big Gigantic, and Toubab Krewe.
Their latest albums are fresh with beats that will make you want to get up and move. The two new albums are called “Live from the Tipitinas” and “No Nine to Five.”
Their inspiring improvisation and their dynamic stage production are flooding the streets this summer. With a 20 city tour that started this month, the boys are covering another great portion of the southeastern region and bringing funky time to a city near you.
Earphunk will perform on the Bud Light Stage at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 13.
