If you know the blues, you know Buddy Guy.

And if you don’t know Buddy Guy, hang on, because you’re about to hear a blues legend.

The 77-year-old Guy is a blues guitar player and singer of the Chicago blues style, and is noted for influencing such musical greats as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Hendrix.

Guy played with Muddy Waters and had a long musical partnership with harmonica player Junior Wells.

While Guy’s style is broadly labeled as Chicago blues, his skills span a wide variety of musical genres, spanning traditional “gutbucket” blues to modern rock and roll.

Honored in with a 2012 Kennedy Center Honor, Guy’s list of other accomplishments is long and wide.

Pull up a chair, and get ready for a show you’ll talk about for a long time afterwards.
