New $5 million luxury auto dealership opens in Chattanooga

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A new $5 million luxury auto dealership opened in Chattanooga on Thursday and expects to sell an average of three cars per day. The expectation by management is to sell 500 new cars per year and 600 used ones.

Furrow Automotive's new Infiniti dealership includes an 18,000 square foot building on 3.5 acres. Furrow began construction soon after buying the Infiniti dealership from Tim Kelly in April, 2013.

The new facility is the fourth luxury dealership on what is called Chattanooga Auto Square on Lee Highway near the Bonny Oaks exit off of I-75.

The $5 million investment includes the purchase of the franchise as well as construction costs for the new facility.

"Chattanooga is the perfect market for the growth of this important luxury franchise," Sam Furrow, chairman of the board of Furrow Automotive, said in a news release.

"We are investing here because we like Chattanooga's people, its values, and its respect for quality.

Furrow Automotive also owns three other luxury brand franchises including Land Rover, Jaguar, and Porsche in Chattanooga. It owns Mercedes Benz and Land Rover franchises in Knoxville.

The newly managed Infiniti dealership in Chattanooga will employee 25 people.
