CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - A 23-year-old man is accused of cocking a gun and pointing it at his children and their mother, according to a Chattanooga police report.

Gerald Parham Jr. was arrested on two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault Thursday night.

On May 27, he reportedly cocked a gun and pointed it at the mother of his children after his girlfriend tried to fight her, the arrest report states. The incident happened when the woman went to his residence to pick the children up.

A witness who was with the woman confirmed the story to police. She and the woman had the children in their arms when the gun was pointed at them, according to the report.

Parham’s record shows he has a pending domestic assault case dating back to December.

As of Friday morning, he remained in custody at the jail held on a $55,000 bond.

His court date is set for Monday before Hamilton County Sessions Court David Bales.
