The mother who left her 9-month old baby in an unlocked car was ordered to take parenting classes.

Police arrested 29-year-old Melissa Greene outside the University of Phoenix in East Brainerd on May 15th.  She was inside that building while her child was outside in the car.   The temperature was in the mid-sixties, which may not seem hot, but a local nurse says even 70 degree weather can be harmful.

The child was placed in the care of children's services.  No word if the baby is back home.
