17-year-old charged with arson for fire at teen group home
Police arrested a minor for allegedly setting a fire at a group home for teens.

Chattanooga Police arrested a minor for allegedly setting a fire at a group home for teens.
Firefighters responded to the Scholze Adolescent Center on Pineville Road around 9:00pm Tuesday night.
Crews found a fire coming from a ceiling vent in one of the rooms. The fire was put out quickly and damages were estimated around $500.
Three staff members and 17 teens were there at the time of the fire. Investigators determined a 17-year-old was responsible for the fire.
The boy was arrested and charged with aggravated arson. He was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
More charges may be filed pending investigation.
