ATLANTA (AP) - State officials are planning to unveil a public awareness campaign aimed at reducing instances of children being left unattended in hot vehicles.
Department of Early Care and Learning spokesman Reg Griffin says Gov. Nathan Deal, Georgia's First Lady Sandra Deal and department Commissioner Bobby Cagle will outline the campaign during a news conference Tuesday at the state Capitol.
Griffin says the event will include the premiere of a YouTube video warning parents and child care workers to always double check for unattended children before locking vehicles.
