Brown and Cartwright Win 21st Annual Shriners Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of Rogie Brown and Elijah Cartwright won the 21th Annual Alhambra Shrine Open Bass Tournament held this week-end on Chickamauga Lake.

Rogie and Elijah caught a 5 bass limit weighing 32.52 lbs. to blow away the field of 50 teams and take the win.  For their victory, they received a check for $2000.


Jim Cofer and Matt Wendorf won big bass of the tournament with a nice 7.98 lb. largemouth bass  good for $330.00


This annual event is the oldest and longest running benefit bass tournament in the Chattanooga area. Proceeds raised from this event help provide financial support for children that are burn victims.

The money winners are as follows:
1st - Rogie Brown and Elijah Cartwright - 32.52 lbs., $2000
2nd - Jim Cofer and Matt Wendorf - 27.65 lbs., $250
3rd - Greg lamb and Buddy Gross - 27.19 lbs., $200
4th - Steve Kite and Daniel Lewis - 23.81 lbs., $150
5th - Allen Lewis and Jeff Reed - 22.12 lbs., $100
6th - Mario DeMatteo and Travis Bearden - 22.06 lbs., $75
