Good Friday. Expect a lot of heat and humidity to start the Memorial Day weekend.
Today, a front will slide through the Tennessee Valley. Ahead of that front, expect a warm, humid afternoon with highs in the upper 80s and high humidity. Late this afternoon we will see a few showers and thunderstorms firing up with the daytime heating. They will taper off late tonight. The rain chance this evening is 30%.
Slightly cooler and drier air will settle in Saturday providing for a nice start to the weekend. Highs will be in the mid 80s with lower humidity and mostly sunny skies.
Sunday we have some energy moving in from the west. That could bring in a few showers Sunday afternoon. Highs Sunday will be near 87.
For Memorial Day, most of that energy will have continued to press eastward, so the chance of rain Monday will be small. It will be warm and humid once again with highs back in the upper 80s. The afternoon rain chance, though, only stands at 20%.
