Good Thursday. Warm weather moving back in will be the focus of our weather for the next few days.
The average high for this time of year is 72 degrees.
This afternoon, we will soar above that with sunny skies and a high of 75. We may be a little breezy this afternoon with 10-15 mph winds from the south.
Friday, a front will push by to our north. While significant rain is unlikely, we may see a stray shower or two in the afternoon. Still, our highs will reach the mid 70s.
We will continue to see some clouds with a slight chance of a sprinkle on Saturday. Don't fret too much, however, the rain chance is only 20%, and for the most part we will have a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 78.
We will be even warmer Sunday as the high reaches 80 under mostly sunny skies.
While we are basking in the sun Sunday, another potent weather system will be developing to the west. It will bring heavy rain to the Tennessee Valley late Monday morning into Monday afternoon. We may see one or two thunderstorms, but no severe weather is expected at this point.
Tuesday will be cool and windy. Highs will drop back to about 60 and winds will blow from the north at 10-20 mph.
