4 TN teens expected to appear in court in SC

Posted: Updated:

NEWBERRY, SC (AP) - The four Tennessee teens who led police on a 10-hour chase last week are due in court in South Carolina.

Authorities say the teenagers are expected to appear before a judge in juvenile court on Monday in Newberry County.

Police have said a 16-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys fled Greene County, TN, after the 16-year-old killed his 36-year-old father.

The Associated Press is not identifying the suspects because they are juveniles. The AP also is not identifying the victim in order to protect the juveniles' identities.

Police have said the teens took at least eight guns from Greene County, TN. They also face accessory and theft charges.

Authorities have not given a timeline for the teens' extradition to Tennessee.
