FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Authorities have discontinued the manhunt for suspect Joshua Lee Bradford near Fort Oglethorpe, but are still searching for him, expanding the search area to include nearby Dade County and even Chattanooga.

UPDATE: Deputies have found Bradford's jail-issued shoes, and are bringing out K-9 units to help with the search, which is now focused around a water tower.

An early morning manhunt in Catoosa County has the Sheriff's Department searching for the missing suspect.

Joshua Lee Bradford, 28, was arrested in Dade County for criminal trespass, discharging a firearm near road, terroristic threats and criminal damage.

Bradford complained of a medical issue, so they took him to Hutcheson for examination.

An officer was escorting him to the bathroom when he knocked the officer down and took off into the woods

Other agencies from Walker County, Dade County and Fort Oglethorpe Police Department are assisting in the efforts on Thomas Road in Fort Oglethorpe.

Channel 3 has a crew on the scene and will bring you the latest news as it becomes available.
