(WRCB-TV) -- Tornado Watch for Cumberland, Grundy and Van Buren Counties, TN; Dekalb and Jackson Counties, AL until 11 a.m. EDT Friday.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Bledsoe, Hamilton, Marion, Meigs, Rhea, and Sequatchie Counties until 11 a.m. EDT Friday.

A line of strong storms moving through middle Tennessee and northern Alabama heads our way this morning, exiting the Blue Ridge in the eastern counties in the 3-5 p.m. time frame. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our entire viewing area in the Slight Risk zone for severe weather today. The main threat is damaging straight-line winds. Chance for tornadoes and large hail are small. A few areas of localized flash flooding might occur with up to an inch of rain possible. Highs reach the middle 70s before rain and storms settle into the region.

Skies will clear off Friday night with lows in the 40s. The weekend looks decent overall with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Another round of showers and storms develops Sunday night into Monday. Rain amounts could total 1"-1.5". Highs Monday will be close to 70°.

Tuesday through Thursday should be mostly dry with highs in the 60's through Wednesday and highs in the low 70's Thursday.
