Community members are
hosting a benefit car and bike wash Saturday April 19 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. to benefit Joey Rutherford's 3 boys.

The fallen firefighter's family and community members welcome everyone to come out to help support the event.

The location is at Jack A's Chop Shop and Salon along Ashland Terrace. There's a live band, bake sale, motorcycle raffle and car show across the street.

All the proceeds collected will go to Rutherford's boys that are 5, 8 and 11-years-old.

A memorial fund has been set up to help the family of a local volunteer firefighter, killed in a motorcycle crash.

Twenty-nine-year-old Joey Rutherford died Sunday after he was hit by another rider causing him to run off the road.

Rutherford was a fireman for the Lone Oak Fire Department in Sequatchie County.

A benefit account has been set up for his family.  Donations can be made at any Suntrust Bank to the Joseph Rutherford Benefit account.

Funeral arrangements for Rutherford are scheduled for Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Williamson's Funeral Home in Soddy Daisy.
