Crime Stoppers: Red Roof Inn Armed Robbery

Posted: Updated:
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

This week's case is an armed robbery at the Red Roof Inn on Shallowford Road. The incident began innocuously enough. A man walked in and asked the front desk clerk some questions about someone who may have been staying there. Using good judgment and following policy, the clerk refused to provide any information. Our soon-to-be suspect turned to walk away, but changed his mind.

When he turned back to the front desk, he had pulled a black semi-automatic pistol which he pointed at the clerk. This time, he does not ask for information. He demands money; all that is in the cash register.

The surveillance pictures of this guy are very clear. Here is the description that could lead you to reward cash: black male, 6-feet tall, around 30-years old, skinny. And, according to witness statements, he had crooked bottom teeth. During this armed robbery, he wore a gray hoodie.

If you know who this guy is or anything about the crime, up to $1,000 is waiting for your good tip. With Crime Stoppers, he will never know you turned him in. Call: 698-3333

A police officer may answer the phone or return your call, but he will never ask your identity.
