UPDATE: A Hamilton County grand jury has indicted a man in connection to a fatal accident that occurred more than a year ago.

Hamilton County deputies arrested William Young, 55, on Monday. He is facing charges of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and reckless aggravated assault.

Chattanooga Police have released the names of the people involved in a fatal accident Thursday morning shortly before 7 a.m. on Highway 58.

A truck traveling southbound collided with a sedan turning northbound from Champion Road.

The driver of the sedan, Donna Giarrusso, died at the scene. A juvenile passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the truck, William Young, was also hospitalized.

Chuck Kilpatrick was one of the first on the scene Thursday morning. He drives his tractor trailer on the hilly highway about 10 times a day.

"The bad thing about this area is there are side roads and you're coming down this hill and you see these side roads," Kilpatrick said. "The average speed on this road, is supposed to be 45-50, but I'd say most of it is 60-65-70."

"The speed limit here is 50 mph, so that's going to be a pretty good impact regardless," said Sgt. Wayne Jefferson.

Traffic in both directions was blocked for hours as traffic investigators reconstructed the scene.

"The only thing you can do is pray for them, that's all you can do..... Just put it in God's hands is all you can do," Kilpatrick said.

Thursday's wreck happened at the same intersection where a 72-year-old man wrecked and later died earlier this month.
