Bond set at $1 million in slayings of 4 people

Posted: Updated:

A Cumberland County judge has set a $1 million bond for one of two people accused in the September 2013 slayings of three teens and an adult in an area called Renegade Mountain.

Criminal Court Judge David Patterson set the bond Thursday for Brittany Lina Yvonn Moser, 25.

The judge also denied motions by co-defendant Jacob Allen Bennett, 26, to dismiss the indictment and to rule out the possibility of the death penalty in the case, according to Sam Boevers, of 13th Judicial District Attorney Randy York's office in Crossville, Tenn.

Bennett and Moser are charged with four counts of felony murder and two counts of attempted aggravated robbery in the killings of Danielle Jacobson, 22; Steven Presley, 17; Dominic Davis, 17; and John Lajeunesse, 16.
